People considering driving usually have the same questions, and they are rarely the ones covered in recruitment material. Here is a straightforward account.
The checks come first
Before your first journey you will complete screening, document checks and the licensing your city requires. This is the part that takes the longest, and it is deliberately thorough — the standard is the product.
Your vehicle
Your car needs to meet our safety standards and carry appropriate insurance. If you are unsure whether yours qualifies, ask before you start the paperwork rather than after.
Onboarding
Onboarding is structured rather than a quick sign-up. You will be shown how the driver app works, what is expected on a journey, and what to do when something unusual happens — because occasionally it will.
The hours
Most drivers work around something else: study, family, another job. The people who find it works best are usually the ones who pick a consistent pattern rather than driving whenever there is a gap.
What surprises people
Two things, usually. The first is how much of the job is ordinary courtesy rather than driving skill. The second is how much repeat riders matter — people remember a driver who made them feel comfortable, and they notice when it is you again.
Support
You will have in-app support and a dedicated inbox for driver questions. Use it early rather than working around a problem quietly.
